Martine was scouted on social media based on a mirror selfie by a modeling agency and soon her career started in London where she went for a few months at the age of 16. It was exciting for her and she right away fell in love with the City. Afterwards she also lived and worked in NYC, while finishing her school and since then works full time as model.
One of the most memorable shoots was for Galeries Lafayettes. The photo was inspired by the birth of Venus, a painting by Botticelli. It appeared as a large image above Galeries Lafayettes.
Another shoot who was also memorable was a shoot for the Outnet in Izmir, Turkey. The surroundings was amazing, almost magical, amazing crew, great food. Even though she shot cashmere and wool sweaters in 33 degrees, the images turned out great and she felt blessed to be part of this shoot.
Martine is also very creative, she does ‘tufting’, she makes her own carpets. She is also fond of music and plays quite some instruments like harp, mouth harmonica, keyboard and guitar. She even joined a band as a guitar player.
She enjoys spending time with the love of her life, friends and family. She often goes to stand-up/comedy shows, so when she is in NYC she sometimes goes twice week. You can always call her for good food, and loves to make dishes herself.
She is very grateful to model and loves to be on set, to create beautiful images with good teams, while learning and exploring new things.
