When Mijke was 19 she walked a fashion show for a student on a Dutch model academy. Here a make-up artist told her to become a model and gave her the number of  a very known agency in Holland who was very happy to have her on board!

After that things moved fast. A few months later she found herself in Milan and a few after that, Mijke was working for the Italian Vogue in Havana. Little did she know as reading fashion magazines was not in her repertoire back then. During that time she worked with many famous photographers and  high end fashion brands, doing amazing shoots in many different countries. 

Besides modeling Mijke a lot of different interests. She has combined modeling with working as a nurse in the past and now she successfully designs her own clothes.  She sold and exposed her clothes in various cities in Holland and abroad.
