Manous did some modeling in her younger years and pursued a career as a hairdresser owning her own salon. Following her passion for fashion, she went on to become a makeup artist and hair stylist in the fashion industry.
For over 25 years, Manous worked as a MUA and hairstylist, occasionally being in front of the camera herself. In 2014, she embraced the fact that she was going grey, in a time where natural grey hair was becoming fashionable. In 2017, she was on the cover of SAAR Magazine, with her natural grey hair, wrinkles and no photoshop! Other modeling jobs in the Netherlands and across Europe followed including projects by Denise Boomkens who provides a platform for beautiful women above 40 years old. She quickly signed with a modeling agency and found herself surrounded by young models and enjoyed being in front of the camera for a change.
Manous wants to give meaning to her new career: she hopes to inspire women that getting older can be freeing. It’s never too late to change your mind and follow your dreams. Dress up. Fall in love. Start to travel. Step out of your comfort zone and go for it.
Manous wants to age naturally and gracefully. She embraces her age lines and wrinkles without judgement or resistance. She wants to show the world the pleasure she has in life being fit and strong.
