Marimarth got discovered not on a very common spot: during a yoga work-out on Bali. She was living there for a while and in her downward facing dog, she got approached by a person who asked if she was a model. It turned out to be a photographer, who on the same day made some shots and send it off. She was 25 at the time. 

Her most memorable shoot was for a commercial for an American jewelry brand. In the night, firefighters making rain, many people, cars, tents, equipment—like a huge film set and Mari with her own bodyguard. 

Besides modeling, Marimarth also invests in her studies. After her diploma in International Relations, she is now doing a Masters in Women’s Rights at the University of Leiden. Also, she lives by the ocean and is passionate about everything that revolves around water. She swims and surfs, and in her free time can often be found around the ocean. However, in the end, it is traveling that truly makes her happy.
